Using Quick Meters

Quick Meters Limited provides Quick Meters tools for prepaid water and power token purchases, payment history, and authorised property management. These terms apply when you use the app or website. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 and have authority to use the phone number, payment account, and property-management access you provide. Utility supply and property tenancy remain subject to your arrangements with the relevant property operator or utility provider.

Accounts and authorised access

Customer accounts are created after phone verification. Property staff accounts are provisioned by authorised administrators. Keep account details accurate, protect your login credentials and verification codes, and tell your property team or support if you suspect unauthorised access.

Managers must only access and manage properties assigned to them. Administrators must only invite or assign staff they authorise to handle their properties. Do not use another person’s account or attempt to bypass access controls.

Payments, tariffs, and tokens

Check the meter number, payment phone, amount, and any displayed charges before approving a purchase. Payments are processed through M-PESA and token generation depends on confirmation by the payment and meter-vending providers.

Purchased units depend on the applicable meter tariff and charges. Water quantities are shown in cubic metres (m³) and electricity quantities in kilowatt-hours (kWh). Tokens are tied to the specified meter and should not be assumed to work on another meter.

A payment prompt, pending status, or debit alone does not establish that a token has been issued. If payment completes but a token is missing, check your history and contact support with the meter number and transaction reference before repeating the purchase.

Failed purchases, disputes, and refunds

Report duplicate debits, missing tokens, incorrect meter purchases, and other payment issues promptly. We will investigate with the relevant property operator, payment provider, or vending provider. Refund eligibility depends on the transaction circumstances, whether a token has been issued or used, and applicable law; refunds are not automatic.

Never send an M-PESA PIN, password, or OTP to support. Account deletion does not cancel a valid payment obligation or automatically reverse a completed transaction.

Responsible use

Use the service lawfully and provide accurate information. Do not interfere with meters, create fraudulent purchases, submit abusive support messages, distribute another person’s private information, or attempt to compromise the service.

Property staff must keep customer information confidential and only use it for authorised utility, occupancy, collection, and support purposes.

Availability and responsibility

Service may be interrupted by maintenance, connectivity problems, payment-provider delays, or meter-provider outages. Token vending does not guarantee uninterrupted water or electricity supply, which depends on the property or utility operator.

We are responsible for the service as required by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. You remain responsible for checking purchase details and using your account securely.

Privacy, suspension, and account closure

Our Privacy policy explains how personal information is handled. You may request account deletion through the Delete account page. Some transaction, dispute, and security records may need to be retained as explained in that policy.

Access may be restricted where necessary to investigate fraud, protect accounts, comply with legal obligations, or address misuse. Contact support if you believe a restriction is incorrect. Property staff access can also be withdrawn by the relevant administrator.

Changes and questions

We may update these terms as the service changes. The revision date appears above. Material changes will be communicated through the service where appropriate.

Contact Quick Meters about questions or disputes concerning these terms. These terms do not replace your agreement with your property operator or payment provider.
